Buggy!

Hope it doesn't "BUG" you! But we have been learning about our creepy crawly friends this week! We have continued our work with life cycles, but with a new focus BUTTERFLIES! :0) Our shipment of caterpillars and tadpoles should be here before the end of this week! We will have a great time observing the actual life process that we have been learning so much about!

Pond Life! Hopping into Life Cycles

Ask your Jammer about some of our Pond Life Songs! Here are a few of our favorites:0)

GLUB GLUB
“Glub glub" went the little green frog one day.
"Glub glub" went the little green frog.
"Glub glub" went the little green frog one day.
And his tongue went "slurp slurp slurp!"
BUT
We all know frogs go
Lah dah dee dah dee dah (hands sway from side to side, palms forward)
Lah dah dee dah dee dah
Lah dah dee dah dee dah
We all know frogs go LAH dah dee dah dee dah
They don't go slurp slurp slurp

5 Little Speckled Frogs
Five little speckled frogs,
Sat on a speckled log,
Eating the most delicious bug.
Yum, Yum.
One jumped into the pool,
Where it was nice and cool,
Then there were four green speckled frogs. Glub, glub! (Sing down to 0)

Check out our IMAGINATION STATION this week! Pretty Cool Stuff! Upstairs is the Tall, Tall Grass and the down stairs is the Small, Small Pond!

.

We talked about how some frogs have skin that can change color to help them blend into their surroundings! Then we used paint strips to find things in the classroom that would make a frog turn the color of their strip. We found some very cool things!
